R32 is a common refrigerant in modern UK split air conditioners, including many Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric ranges. It has a lower global-warming potential than the older R410A blend, but it is mildly flammable, so charge size, room area and installation standards matter. You cannot mix R32 and R410A in one circuit. Daikin R32 air conditioner searches should still start from room load and siting. Refrigerant type is not a reason to skip a survey or to demand a regas.
Why R32 shows up on nameplates
F-gas phase-down pushed the industry toward lower-GWP gases. R32 is widely used on new singles and some VRV. Older R410A systems remain in service and are not illegal to maintain correctly.
Daikin R32 AC and Mitsubishi aircon R32 queries are often replacement shopping. The new pair must be a matched R32 design, not a drop-in gas change on an R410A indoor.
- Read the outdoor nameplate before ordering gas.
- Never vent refrigerant.
- Charge by weight to the manufacturer's figure after a leak repair.
- Ask how charge size affects any minimum room-area rule for the indoor.
R32 versus R410A on a replacement
Pipework may be reusable if tested and allowed by the new equipment's replacement guidance. That is a contractor decision. Some Sky Air series advertise replacement technology. It is not a promise for every 1990s shop.

If someone offers cheap R410A new kit, ask why and whether parts will exist.
