Mr Slim is Mitsubishi Electric's light-commercial split and ducted range, the cousin of Daikin Sky Air. Servicing is an F-gas job: filters, coils, leak checks, electrics, controls and a written report. It is not a domestic filter vacuum. Book an engineer who knows the range, can obtain parts, and will not confuse it with City Multi VRF.
What Mr Slim is
Mr Slim sits between domestic M Series walls and City Multi VRF. Shops, small offices, studios and restaurants use it. Indoor formats include wall, cassette, ducted and ceiling. If your outdoor is a commercial Mitsubishi the size of a small cupboard, you are probably here rather than on an MSZ-AY.

What a service visit should do
Indoor filters and coils, outdoor coil, condensate, electrical terminations, operating data, and a leak check at the legally required interval for the charge. Controls and schedules. Written defects. If your current contract is a sticker on the outdoor, you do not have a contract.
Error codes on the controller are useful. Photograph them. Do not reset blindly for a week and then expect a compressor under goodwill. A service package is for sites that cannot wait until the controller is already in pain.
Repair versus replace
Age, refrigerant type and parts availability decide. Older R410A Mr Slim can still be maintained. A failed compressor on elderly plant may be a replacement outdoor, not a heroic rebuild. Get a written option.
Like-for-like replacement can reuse pipework if it is clean, sized and pressure-tested. That is an engineering judgement. TM44 may apply if the system is over 12 kW. Servicing is not the TM44 certificate.
How to book without the runaround
Model numbers, photos, the fault, and access hours. Many Mr Slim sites are shops that cannot stop trading at noon.
Use the quote form and write Mr Slim plus the building type. If you need a new install, say so. Service engineers and install teams are not always the same diary.
Frequently asked questions
Can a domestic AC engineer service Mr Slim?
If they are F-gas qualified and competent on the range, yes. Many domestic-only engineers will not hold parts accounts or know the controllers. Ask before they travel.
How often should Mr Slim be serviced?
At least annually for light use. More in kitchens and dusty stockrooms. Leak-check intervals follow F-gas rules for the charge, not the brochure.
Is Mr Slim the same as M Series?
No. M Series is the house wall range (HR, AY, LN). Mr Slim is light commercial. City Multi is VRF. Get the family name on the quote.
