Mesh in front of the coil

Draughts and damp are different problems
A lower fan speed is more comfortable for some people and too draughty for others if the jet hits the sofa. That is a siting and vane question for the survey. It is not an allergy treatment. Dryness in cooling mode is normal. If it bothers you, say so. Do not expect a medical humidity prescription from a domestic split. Outdoor air quality, damp homes and mould are different problems. Cooling a damp room without dealing with moisture can make surfaces miserable. Say if the home has condensation issues so the survey does not pretend a wall unit is a damp proof course. Buy the kilowatts, then learn how the filter comes out
Choose kW, noise and outdoor position the usual way. Mention allergy concerns so the installer shows you how the filter comes out, and so they do not oversell a feature. Ask a clinician what, if anything, a recirculating filter can add to your plan. Standard domestic filters are washable meshes for coarse dust. Only believe a higher-grade claim if it is for the exact model, and even then it is not healthcare. Photos of the room and the outdoor wall are what the survey needs.
